Tahoma Rubber & Plastics Announces Leadership Appointments

BARBERTON, Ohio — Tahoma Rubber and Plastics announces the following leadership appointments designed to strengthen the team for future growth and efficiency.

Martin Kraus has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. He will be responsible for the manufacturing operations of the company.

Kraus has extensive rubber industry experience having spent the past 18 years at Preferred Compounding/Hexpol. Mr. Kraus advanced at the company and has been the Barberton plant manager for the last five years. Prior to that Kraus was at Bedell-Kraus.

Chuck Daugherty has been named Director of Business Development and Materials Applications. In this role Chuck is responsible for developing new applications, solving customer technical problems, and working with tire manufacturers on solutions to their production.

Daugherty has been with Tahoma Rubber and Plastics for 35 years. He is an industry expert in materials, applications, and processes.

Madison Groner has joined the company as Assistant Manager of Human Resources.

Groner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Youngstown State University and a law degree from the University of Akron. She has prior experience at GBS Corporation and Cintas Corporation.

“These appointments are a natural evolution as we support customer initiatives, strive for continuous operational improvements, and foster a great workplace”, said Steve Nieto, CEO of TRP.

Tahoma Rubber and Plastics serves the tire and rubber industry by recycling and reprocessing uncured rubber compounds, fibers and poly film. Manufacturing plants are located in Barberton, Ohio and Abbeville, South Carolina.

Tahoma Engineered Solutions Announces New Positions

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions announced today that Bill Baum is joining the company as its new Ashland plant manager. Baum brings a strong focus on lean methodology, high-quality work, team building, and implementing best-practice manufacturing processes.

Baum joins Tahoma Engineered Solutions from Forrest Machine Products, Mansfield, Ohio; where he was plant manager. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Westwood College.

“We are excited to have Bill as part of the TES manufacturing leadership team,” said Jerry Lynch, general manager, TES. “His 15+ years of manufacturing management demonstrated a commitment to safety, quality and team building that will benefit our operations in Ashland and our customers.”

In other news, Brian Seman will move from plant manager to Sales Executive. “I want to thank Brian for his dedication and commitment,” continued Lynch. “It was critical to have an experienced leader like Brian to help lead the plant’s relocation and expansion. He brings a much broader knowledge of the manufacturing business with him into his new sales role, which will help better tie sales with our manufacturing competencies.”

Tahoma Engineered Solutions Names New Quality Manager

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions has named Sara Chapman as its new quality manager. Chapman will be responsible for all quality functions at the Ashland, Ohio manufacturing facility.

“Sara will have three major responsibilities,” said Jerry Lynch – general manager. “She will insure we adhere and continuously improve our Quality Management System, lead continuous improvement activities, and make sure we always deliver the highest quality products to our customers.”

Chapman has prior manufacturing experience in both the printing press and precision machining industry.

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions has successfully completed an ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit to certify that its quality management systems have been fully assessed and approved by National Quality Assurance, U.S.A, against the provisions of ISO 9001:2015 for a full-service machining manufacturer.

Jerry Lynch, general manager said, “We continue to strive hard to continuously improve our quality management systems and control of documents. Quality management is one of the essential functions for our business and for our clients’ success and it is why we continue to adhere to the ISO 9001 standard.”
