ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions fortified their position as a major fluid end manufacturer in the oil and gas industry with the purchase of two Doosan boring mills.

 “To keep up with the oil and gas demand in the field of fracking, we have purchased two, five-inch spindle boring mills to double our capacity for production of fluid ends,” says Tahoma Engineered Solutions Operations Manager, Brian Seman.  “With the ever-fluctuating oil and gas market, we always want to be prepared to answer our customers’ demand for fracking equipment.  These two additional machines provide us that ability.”  In addition to the oil and gas products, horizontal mills of this size can tackle weldments, castings, manifolds or custom block parts with sizes upwards of 120” in “X”, 100” in “Y” and with a table max weight upwards of 15 tons.

“This investment has opened new markets for us,” says Brian Seman, Operations Manager at Tahoma Engineered Solutions.  We now have the ability to machine custom shaped undercuts within large bores, or even tapered bores, with a 32 surface finish or better.  This unique tool mounts onto one of our boring mills and essentially provides lathe tool capabilities, but on a boring mill.”

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions announces an outstanding solution for customers requiring large boring capacity through the procurement of a new Johnford BMC-110 horizontal boring mill.

“This state-of-the-art machine tool provides Tahoma Engineered Solutions with the ability to efficiently machine sizable pieces of work via an automatic tool changer, rotary table that can hold up to 15 tons, through-tool coolant, large capacity memory control, and a fully enclosed work area.”  This is according to Brian Seman, Operations Manager at Tahoma Engineered Solutions.  Seman continues, “Johnford delivered us the new BMC-110–which is the heaviest horizontal boring mill in its class.  It delivers outstanding rigidity and accuracy which will help our customers achieve their production goals.”

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tahoma Engineered Solutions announces increased high-speed machining capabilities with the acquisition of a new Haas DS-30 multi-spindle lathe.

According to Brian Seman, Operations Manager at Tahoma Engineered Solutions, “Our new DS-30 lathe is a live tool, dual spindle lathe with a bar-feeder for higher production jobs.  Adding another live tool, dual spindle lathe makes us more competitive by cutting down on handling of turning work that requires multiple operations.  Parts that would normally require two lathe operations and a mill operation, can be done all in one operation with our new DS-30.  This manufacturing flexibility gives our customers great confidence in our process capabilities.”
