Tahoma Enterprises, Inc. kicks off 2020 with hiring of new Vice President of Business Development

WOOSTER, Ohio – Wooster-based Tahoma Enterprises, Inc is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Biltz as Vice President Business Development. Scott’s comprehensive background in sales and operations is imperative to Tahoma’s future growth and stability. Scott brings a diverse career of sales experience and team management skills for companies in both the manufacturing and food service industries.

“We have identified the need to increase our investment in growing our customer base and target markets. Now that we have completed the consolidation of Tahoma Engineered Solutions in our Ashland, OH facility and invested in significant cost reduction manufacturing applications at Tahoma Rubber & Plastics we have a very solid base to provide services and solutions to our customers,” offers company CEO, Steve Strouse.  

Scott as the VP Business Development reports to the CEO Tahoma Enterprises, Inc. The position is responsible for managing the strategic business development process, including sales revenue growth, customer profitability, and product line profitability. A matrix organization structure will be used to guide and direct business unit general managers, product line managers, and sales representatives in the achievement of goals. 

Previously he held positions in sales, business development, operations, training, and human resource management at The Timken Company in Canton, OH. Most recently he was the COO and Vice President at Troyer Cheese, Inc. and Lipari Foods in Millersburg, OH.

Scott received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Ashland University and a master’s degree in business administration from Baker University. He also is a graduate of the Executive Development for Global Excellence program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Scott is a Board Member of the Wilderness Center in Wilmot and very active in The Boy Scouts of America. Scott and his wife Melissa have four children and live in Millersburg, Ohio.
