Tahoma Enterprises, Inc. Acquires Progress Wire of Cleveland, Ohio

WOOSTER, Ohio – Wooster-based Tahoma Enterprises has acquired Progress Wire of Cleveland, Ohio.

Progress Wire was founded in 1953 by William Folberth and sold to Thomas Harman in 1982.  Harman operated the company until his death in 2000.  The company was sold by the Harman family and terms of the acquisition were not made public.

Progress Wire manufactures specialty formed wire products from 3/16” to 1/2”.  This includes welded wire mesh, industrial and off-highway fan guards, wire forms and many other formed wire products.
 
The plan is to consolidate operations and make Progress Wire part of the Tahoma Engineered Solutions business unit.
